LIVE SAWN, PLAIN SAWN, RIFT & QUARTER SAWN WOOD

Rift and Quarter sawn wood are terms that refer to the grading face of the boards. Quarter sawn boards are few and rare, prized for flooring, millwork, furniture and cabinetry. Quarter sawn boards exhibits pronounced Medullary Ray or Ray Fleck, which becomes more pronounced as the wood is finished. Rift sawn wood exhibits less Medullary Ray or Ray Fleck, while it maintains the same straight grain as the Quarter sawn wood. Most commonly wood is brokered as mixed with Rift and Quarter sawn boards referred to as R&Q. Rift and Quarter sawn wood is stable and will only shrink in thickness. It is a superior choice in terms of stability. The most common technique in cutting wood is Plain sawn because it maximizes yield.

ENGINEERED WOOD FLOORING

The engineered wood floors have superior dimensional stability through its 11-ply alternating grain exterior grade, class 3 glue core. The surface veneer is 4mm thick and the engineered flooring comes with an optional 4 mm thick bottom veneer on all widths greater than 8" wide. All of our products can be ordered in both engineered and solid versions and custom colors, wood species, textures and sizes.

DRIFTWOOD FRENCH WHITE OAK

The Vintage French White Oak flooring in driftwood grey color is reminiscent of time-worn wood weathered in the sun.

LIME WASHED FRENCH WHITE OAK

The antiqued and lime washed French White Oak enhances the natural appearance of the natural grain patterns subtly. The antiqued looks is frequently referred to as fumed or smoked. The flooring has a wire brushed texture.

WORMY RED OAK

The Wormy Red Oak flooring is made with reclaimed Red Oak. It has natural rustic character with scattered knots and small worm holes in addition to slight color variations. The flooring is of character yet elegant and beautiful.

RECLAIMED RED OAK Herringbone

The rustic reclaimed Red Oak flooring has natural character with knots, nail holes, dents, saw marks, color variations and other unique characteristics. The flooring is antique and reminiscent of a longtime gone era.

RECLAIMED Mixed OAK Herringbone

The rustic reclaimed industrial mixed White and Red Oak with a patina creates a great feature look for an urban loft or commercial space and simple style.

CLEAR GRADE RIFT WHITE OAK

Clear grade rift White Oak is the highest grade available with consistent grain pattern and the least amount of character for a subtle and clean look.

ASH WOOD FLOORING

Bright natural Ash wood flooring, a hint of luxury and sophistication.

CLEAR GRADE MAPLE

Clear grade maple containing some highly desirable natural characteristics such as burl, crotch and birds eye.

SOLID SANTOS MAHOGANY

The durable exotic Santos Mahogany is superior to the domestic Mahogany with a medium color range, varying between light orange brown and yellowish overtones to a dark reddish and purplish brown with little grain variation.

TEAK

Teak wood flooring is highly durable and beautiful in character. It is prized for its durability.
